Our People
Dick worked in public accounting in Boise, Idaho, for over twenty years where he co-founded a CPA firm specializing in a clientele of small businesses and individuals. In the mid-1980s, Dick began managing investment portfolios for clients. In 1989 he returned to graduate school and became a business professor teaching corporate finance, accounting, and business management courses at the University of Oregon, Pacific University, and the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science & Technology. He resigned from the OGI faculty in 1996 to focus full time on Arcadia's rapidly growing investment management business.
Rob earned his bachelor degree in Business Management at George Fox University and holds a Masters of Science in Financial Services. He also is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, a Certified Funds Specialist, and a NAPFA Registered Financial Advisor. Rob has 5 years work experience at internationally recognized companies such as American Express Financial Advisors where he did comprehensive financial planning, and Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. where he helped clients with personalized investment strategies as well as retirement planning. His diverse background also includes experience in real estate as well as life, disability, and long term care insurance. Rob joined Arcadia in 2002.
Howard earned his bachelor degree in Business Management at Boise State University. Howie joined Arcadia in August of 2007 and works in the Boise office. He has been a member of the Boise business community for over 14 years, having served as the General Manager for Wireless Broadcasting Systems, a cable television company, until 2004. Most recently, he was in Investment Advisor with Emerald Financial Advisors in Nampa, ID. Currently he is studying for his Certified Financial Planner™ certification.
Sarah was born and raised in Southern California, where she also graduated from high school. Moving to the Bay Area, she gained customer service and office management experience while managing Lechter's Housewares. She relocated to Grants Pass, Oregon in 2001, where she worked for Johnson Northwest as the Customer Service/Office Manager while studying accounting. Sarah joined Arcadia in 2004.
Holly joined Arcadia at the beginning of 2006 with several years of experience in office administration. Before Arcadia, she was an office manager at a Vancouver-based tax consulting firm. As part of her responsibilities, she oversaw the company's administrative staff, managed client relations, assisted in property assessment appeals and managed customer invoicing, accounts payable and receivable. Holly studied Legal Assisting at Utah Valley State College and is a long-time resident of Vancouver.
Deana earned her bachelor degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After graduation she worked in accounting and administration with the Gavzy Group in Minneapolis, MN. Deana relocated to the Northwest in 2003 and continued her accounting work experience with KBC Management in Portland, OR. Deana joined Arcadia in 2006.
